Privacy Policy — GuideReply

GuideReply is a tool for tour operators and local businesses, built by Altavance Media. It helps a team reply to customer reviews faster by filling a suggested reply into the reply box of review portals the user is already logged into. The user always reviews the text and submits it themselves.

What the extension stores

• An access key that you paste in once, so the extension can request your suggested replies. It is stored using Chrome's own extension storage on your device and is sent only to your GuideReply dashboard on guidereply.pro. It is never sent anywhere else.

What the extension reads

• On tripadvisor.com, supplier.getyourguide.com and supplier.viator.com, it reads the text of the review shown on the page. This is used only, in your browser, to identify which review you are replying to, so it can fill in the matching suggested reply. This text is never transmitted anywhere.

What the extension sends

• A single request to your GuideReply dashboard on guidereply.pro to fetch the list of suggested replies for your own account's reviews, authenticated with the access key you provided.

What the extension never does

• It never reads or stores your passwords or login credentials for any portal.
• It never submits or posts anything on your behalf. Publishing a reply is always your own click on the portal's own button.
• It does not run on any website other than the three review portals listed above.

Permissions, and why

• storage — to keep the access key you paste in.
• tripadvisor.com, supplier.getyourguide.com, supplier.viator.com — to show the "fill in reply" button on the review pages of those portals.
• guidereply.pro — to fetch the suggested replies from your GuideReply dashboard.
